A moment of clarity

I was listening to Baz Luhrmann yesterday, you know, that crazy sunscreen song? There's a line that goes a little something like this: "Enjoy your body, use it every way you can. Don't be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it's the greatest instrument you'll ever own." It's so true. I realized again today how blessed I am to have so many amazing people in my life, and how lucky I am to have met you, to get to know you, to love you. Isn't that beautiful? It struck me this morning when I thought of how many people I really love, and I like to think they might love me a little bit too. And as I was thinking, my entire chest got this tingly sensation, a warm wave I like to think radiated from my heart.

I've taken psychology. I know love is mental, and something people claim is completely chemical, completely constructed. It may be mental (though I deny it's purely biochemical), but it just really amazes me that the mind, body and soul have such a powerful connection, that I can physically feel my love for all of you when I'm missing you from this little island and you're all in other countries. Amazing. As many mistakes as we make, I think humanity is God's greatest creation.

Love is the most powerful message in the Bible, which, when it comes down to it, is one long love story. Which makes sense, since I feel like love is the most powerful message on Earth too. I think that's why I'm here, why I'm alive, why God put me and keeps me here -- to love, to spread His love.
